Boston Vigor International Collaboration Program | Train in Brazil

We are proud to introduce the Boston Vigor International Collaboration Program, a unique opportunity for U.S. players to train and develop in Brazil through partnerships with established professional clubs and academies.

Through Wilson’s professional playing career in Brazil, he built strong relationships with respected youth academies, coaching staffs, and professional clubs across the country. One of these collaborations includes access to the training environment of Vila Nova Futebol Clube, a historic Brazilian club known for its strong development pathway and professional standards.

Vila Nova FC trains at its Centro de Treinamento Vila do Tigre, a modern, fully integrated training complex designed to support both professional players and youth academy athletes. The facility features multiple full size training fields, performance and recovery areas, locker rooms, video and meeting rooms, dining facilities, and athlete accommodations. The club’s professional team now trains full time at the training center, reinforcing a daily environment that reflects professional expectations and culture.

Through this collaboration, Boston Vigor players gain exposure to a true Brazilian academy setting where technical quality, tactical understanding, physical preparation, and football intelligence are developed daily. Players train in an environment that mirrors the routines, intensity, and standards of professional football in Brazil.

The mission of the Boston Vigor International Collaboration Program is simple:

to open doors for American players to train, learn, and compete in one of the most respected football development environments in the world.

From young players beginning their journey to college athletes seeking the next step in their development, whether traveling individually or as part of a group, Boston Vigor provides a structured, professional, and immersive international football experience.

A Pathway to the International Level | Program Overview

The Boston Vigor International Program offers players and families a safe, structured, and high level football experience in Brazil. Every aspect of the program is designed to support player development while providing clarity and peace of mind for families traveling overseas.

Program Dates and Duration

The program runs from July 1st through August 15th, with a two week minimum commitment required to ensure proper training continuity, physical adaptation, and full football immersion.

Who the Program Is For

  • The program is open to players ages 10 and older, including college players. Players from Boston Vigor and players from other clubs are welcome.

  • Players ages 10 to 14 must travel with a parent or guardian. Parents will stay in a nearby hotel and remain closely connected to the daily schedule and staff support.

  • Players age 14 and older may travel independently. These players may stay on site at the training center dormitories or in a hotel with a parent if preferred.

Training and Player Development

• Technical Training

Focuses on ball mastery, first touch, passing, receiving, dribbling, and finishing. Sessions emphasize repetition, efficiency, and comfort on the ball under pressure.

• Tactical Training

Develops game understanding through team shape, positioning, decision making, and reading the game in attacking and defensive moments. Players learn how and why to make decisions, not just what to do.

• Position Specific Training

Targets the technical and tactical demands of each position. Players work on role specific movements, responsibilities, and actions required at a high level of play.

• Group Training

Small group and full group sessions that focus on game scenarios, competitive play, and applying concepts in realistic match situations.

• Physical Performance Training

Designed to improve speed, agility, strength, coordination, and overall athletic performance while reducing injury risk. Training is age appropriate and monitored by performance staff.

• Recovery and Regeneration

Structured recovery sessions including mobility work, stretching, and recovery protocols to support performance, reduce fatigue, and keep players healthy throughout the program

Facilities and Daily Environment

Training takes place at top level academy facilities with access to modern fields, performance gyms, video analysis rooms, recovery areas, and secure accommodations designed specifically for athletes.

The international airport is located approximately five minutes from the training base, making travel smooth and efficient.

Housing, Meals, and Daily Support

Players staying on site are housed in supervised dormitories within the training center. Families choosing hotel accommodations will stay nearby with easy access to the training base.

All players receive three athlete focused meals per day, prepared to support performance, recovery, and overall health. Meals are included for the full duration of the program.

Group and Custom Options

Group packages are available for teams or multiple players traveling together. Customized experiences can be arranged based on group size and competitive level.

Pathway for College Graduates

For college players pursuing the next step, Boston Vigor also provides access to official tryout opportunities with professional clubs in Brazil. Through Boston Vigor FC’s network, select athletes may earn invitations to trial with partnered clubs—an opportunity rarely available in the U.S.
